S03.E14: Smashley - Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Like stock shots of drawers opening and doors closing with the lean, these comments are in order of the episode broadcast…

Well it took the entire season but we actually got to see some real sailing!  I’d like to believe that the Parsifal win wasn’t rigged (no pun intended), but it did make a nice story.  So small boats can turn faster, but bigger boats will overtake you in the long run.  Or something.  Nice to see a reduction in the stock shots of drawers opening, pans falling, etc.

Did I miss something or when did Daisy get into competition with Ashley over who’s wearing the biggest Mae West?  I just don’t recall Daisy wearing such… revealing… outfits to dinner before.  Or maybe I was sleeping through those episodes…

Daisy (to Scarlett):  “I’m not telling you what you can or can’t do…”  Well, you kinda are.  And then you sit there and keep baiting her.  And then make her cry.  Way to improve your management skills, there.

Captain Glenn has amazing powers to sleep through all that drunken revelry.

Instead of “reading between the lines”, Daisy, perhaps you should “read between the loins”.

Colin called it exactly right when he said Daisy was jealous.

Once again the guests bring luggage for two nights that most people who travel would bring for a month.  Or two.

For guests who brag about how polite Canadians are, it was pretty mean of them to call Ashley “Smashley”.  I mean, yeah, she is, but still… it’s mean.  And not so polite.

Looks like high drama on the high seas for next time.  Will the entangled anchor chain spell doom for the ship, crew, and passengers?  Or will it be the usual “Oh, there it goes – all done.”  Will Ashley, Scarlett, and Daisy be caught in the chains of Gary’s… love?  Will Marcos cast of the chains of grief?  A serious chain of events for the next episode…
